| - After spending all morning at the pool drinking, I was starving! The boys and I met up some friends for lunch at Ramen Sora on Thursday, May 11th around 12:30pm. Luckily, they were already seated at the communal table, so we joined them and made a party of five. (I saw some people waiting outside, so I'm glad we didn't have to wait.)
We started with a couple orders of Gyoza ($3.85) which I enjoyed. So much so that I ate more than half of one order! For my bowl, I got the Spicy Ramen ($8.50) with Shio Base (Salt) and added Corn (+$1). I was actually debating getting the Killer Spicy Ramen since I love heat, but we drank so much in the morning, I didn't think my stomach could handle it. I was kinda bummed after I got my bowl as I didn't think it was spicy at all. The broth did have good flavor and the noodles a nice chew. If you're a big meat eater, I'd suggest adding 2 Pcs Pork Belly Chashu ($2.35), Spicy Meat (+$1), or the Killer Spicy Meat (+$1.50). Or all three if you're super hungry. We also got a couple pitchers of Kirin Draft at $11.50 each. If you have multiple people drinking, it's best to get a pitcher as a large glass is $5. Way better deal. I believe a friend of mine got the Deluxe Sora Ramen ($10.25) with Miso Base (Soy Bean Paste), add Corn (+$1) and made it a Large (+$1) or Super Size (+$2). Not sure how much bigger he made it, but he seemed to enjoy it as he finished the whole thing.
Good place to grab a bowl of ramen. Only next time, I'll do the Killer Spicy. And of course, add extra meat!
