  • First of all, this is not a reaction to one bad experience review. I've been going to this pharmacy for years and have seen the customer service as well as the pharmacy end of this location go from bearable to poor to complete failure in a very short time since the previous Pharmacist, I'm pretty sure Todd was his name unfortunately made a very tragic exit. The staff has proven over and over that there is no such thing as the customer being right, it comes down to if they don't have it, haven't filled it or failed to verify cost or any other of the many issues I've dealt with over the time I've been getting my Rx's filled there. Having to constantly call and find out if a Rx has been filled when specifically giving the date it is needed (being dropped off a week in advance should be more than enough time for any Rx) and then getting there and it's not done and the excuse is that they called to see if it's needed. Is it really necessary to keep it all in queue until they get a formal all clear and half a dozen calls to fill a Rx that was personally handed to one of the employees and specifically discussed the details for pickup. Too many times to count this has happened and the only thing I hear is "I don't know what to tell you". I'm not going to mention names, I'm sure if someone from the location reads this, they will know who they are. There are not enough hours in the day to have to deal with the incompetence at this place and after going through all the medical issues I have had to go through, the last thing I need is a pharmacy that can't provide at least service that is "bearable". It's not as simple as just taking my Rx's to another pharmacy and it's just that easy. I have from 10 to 15 Rx's at any given time and occasionally more. Rx's filled last year in excess of $35,000.00 and will continue to have those and likely more as my health deteriorates. There are many patients who rely on their medications in a timely manner and don't want to have to jump through hoops just to get what they need to live. There is likely going to be nothing accomplished by me posting this, but it's just another piece of the puzzle to get the word out, and considering that a large number of the patients who are your customers are in the LGBTQ community, word travels pretty fast. I've managed to get all the necessary meds I've needed, but unfortunately, there are those who may not know how to get the same results and I'm sure there are many who lack the resources and are "stuck" with having to use Avella. It's unfortunate that a company has to prey on those who either don't know any better or simply don't have the energy to deal with the crap they are handed. Just another #, get'em in and get'em out.
