Delicious. Period. Exclamation point.
Cowboy Ciao (what a great name) is terrific. Sky Harbor, the Phoenix Airport, has morphed into one of the finest airports in the Country and really caters to the Foodies of the world. Each gate has its own micro epicurean stranglehold to keep you nourished and delighted without having to wander to a different gate to indulge in typical fast food fare.
Cowboy Ciao is definitely part of a heavyweight triumvirate of restaurants in this corridor of Sky Harbor. Although we were there during the peak breakfast hours, we were allowed to order anything off the menu, always great if you're not in the mood for breakfast or your internal clock is screaming for dinner.
I ordered the breakfast enchiladas. This was a meal worth the money ($14.99) in value and taste. Perfect over-easy eggs blanketed enchiladas with chorizo and potatoes on a bed of homemade chili verde that was fantastic. Service was terrific, understood we had a plane to catch, food came out quickly and check was promptly taken care of.
As you travel through Phoenix, bring your appetite and definitely explore some excellent replicas of true Phoenician restaurants that native desert rats like myself enjoy daily. Cowboy Ciao is high on my list-well done!
