  • Be very cautious before proceeding with hair coloring. I will say the staff is lovely and very kind. I wanted to love this salon, as a fan of Aveda and their concepts, but I will not be returning. And I won't cast all the blame on my stylist; I was eager to camouflage my grays and due to pregnancy was receptive to non-bleach treatments. So when the stylist suggested low-lights with fewer chemicals and more gray coverage, it sounded ideal. It wasn't. I can honestly say, the grays show more now than before! The salon did the right thing and offered to re-do my services. But what I've learned and caution all women, you must be very very specific when dealing with highlights (or as I learned low-lights). Sadly, because the low-lights were the services I received and what I really wanted was a mix of high and low lights (who knew?!), I would have been charged the full price to have the services re-done. So I walked out with lots of grays and very disappointed. I've learned a terribly costly mistake: at this salon, you must know EXACTLY what you want done with your hair. Thankfully I've managed okay at other salons without so much detailed knowledge of the color wheel and lighting options for the last decade and 5 states. But not at Gianna Christine. I'll be sticking with Square Salon in Summerlin. Trust me, it's worth the drive and $10 higher prices.
