| - Okay, so I went in because my bangs were badly butchered by a salon in Raleigh three months prior, and I love Aveda! I figured that my hair couldn't get ANY worse, because I was already wearing it up and pinned back. I also figured that the instructors would not let me walk out of the salon without perfectly cut hair. It is a place of learning after all, so I knew I would be safe as long as I was clear about exactly what I wanted.
I'm so glad I came in. She gave me a consultation and then her instructor came over and they started talking to about my hair, and what they could do to fix it, because I was so mortified on how badly it was cut. My stylist student was friendly, professional, knowledgable, and very confident that she could fix my hair. It looked awesome! The instructor was extremely pleased on how my bangs looked and how well she layered my hair.
The only draw backs are that it was LONG process and that the girl I had was graduating and is now in a SUPER expensive salon that charges double what I paid here. Oh and they have really awful salon hours, so to book a Saturday slot, do it whenever they can! But, you can't beat it for the price. It's an awesome value! I got an Aveda experience with Great Clips prices! It's worth it! :)
Here's a tip! If you're afraid that someone is going to mess up your hair, ask for an experienced student. I did, and she was wonderful.
