  • May altered my wedding dress in June 2013. She is very friendly and business-like, and her shop is clean. My dress needed the straps moved, the bodice taken in, and the train bustled - altogether, this cost me a little over $100 (which seemed very fair). I told her I didn't have any rush, and she had the dress done in four weeks. My only complaint is that the bustle ripped out after about 30 minutes of wearing it and I had to go back and safety pin the train up. May did an outside bustle to show off the beading, but I wished I had been more gentle (I ripped it out while moving from standing to sitting down), had pre-secured the bustle with a safety pin inside the dress, or had gotten a more secure inside bustle. Overall, I had a good experience and thought May did a great job with the alterations.
