  • I am going to start with the good. The hotel room we had was really very nice. The bathtub was beautiful and I enjoyed the cleanliness and plentiful room in the standard double. (I think its called the Hit Room) I was a little confused by the lack of fitted sheets, but the bed was comfortable. The bad: I booked this room through the convention and just paid the prices listed without doing any kind of comparison. I have attended several other conventions organized by this company and we have always received the best rates - even in New Orleans and Savannah. It came to our attention that the entire convention was being bowled over and the attendees were being it told a variety of information on why the hotel was so expensive. Whatever. The bottom line is this: if you are planning a convention DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL. There was another convention at the same chain (Caesars) but several other hotels. They were paying $30 - $120 (depending on the day of the week) our convention rates were $140-$189. This is crazy. If this hotel plans on being competitive and retaining guests - this is NOT the way to do it. My next trip will certainly be with another chain in Vegas. The convention area is severely outdated and I kept expecting the Red Hat society to pop up at any minute. Did they fund this color scheme??? Check in was insane. I pre-checked in since I was coming in so late and was in a hurry. Yet, the key-pickup line was not being attended. The ladies waiting were obviously being ignored, so I just waited in the regular check-in line with everyone else. The attendant didn't explain anything about the hotel, their services, or the casino. No one ever mentioned the Total Rewards program and discounts it provides - so thank you for that hotel staff. Nor did anyone mention Jeff Dunham. (And yes I know he was on the keys and all that - but the days he plays or prices were not brought up) You would think they would be trying to sell the tickets to the show, but apparently not or maybe the clerk did not have the ability to multi-task. To sum it up - I would not book this hotel if returning.
