| - I've been getting my daughter's medication through Prime for about a year, with no issues. When I got notice that Walgreen's Mail Service was now providing "the same great service", I thought it would be the same. I called in my daughter's Rx order as usual, and received it on my doorstep within 7 days. However, this time her pills were a different color. I read the Rx sheet, and it was the same Rx, different manufacturer. I also noticed that her Rx, which was to expire 3/18/18, was now expired. It was only begining of December 2017. After a week on her medication, she broke out in head to toe hives. I immediately called the pharmacy, yet it took a couple of days to determine she was having an allergic reaction to the "new" medication, and acquire an emergency supply of her "old" medication.
This is where the massive clusterf***k begins. To say I HATE this mail service, is an understatement. I've spent a total of 15 hours of my life, collectively, on the phone with these people. 15 hours of my life I will never get back. 15 hours of frustration, and at times, tears and rage. The phone agents have been genuinely helpful, to blatantly patronizing. Their supervisors are useless, AND none of the operators create a receipt in the system of your call. You have to retell your issue EVERY SINGLE TIME you call. IF you want proof of the conversation, be prepared to wait 48-72 hours for them to review the recording of your call....and good luck receiving any follow up.
Once I got her emergency supply, I was supposed to receive a replacement for the 90 supply that my daughter couldn't take. A week before she was out of meds, I called to confirm the shipment was en route. Nope...sorry, "your insurance said it's to early to fill, you'll receive the new shipment 10 days after it's been filled." Uhm....but she will be out of medication in 7 days. "Sorry ma'am, we can't fill her Rx because it's too early." So then I jump through hoops to get an override so I can get her medication.....THIS was an actual 4 1/2 HOUR phone debaucle. I talked to 3 different operators and a supervisor before I got somebody who takes their job seriously. She took care of the situation, and got the override (so she thought) and my daughter's medication was on it's way, shipping over night. Well, that shipment never came. So then I call, and they told me that it was too early to refill the Rx. So back to the walk in pharmacy for another emergency refill. I get told that I can call on a certain date to start this process over. Well, I get a letter in the mail telling me her Rx would be filled on 2/24, and we'll receive it by 3/6. So instead of calling them, I go to the walk in pharmacy I got her emergency refill from, and talk to them. They said to come in the day after it's filled by mail order, and get a 10 day emergency supply to get her through until the order arrives at my house. I did exactly that. Once I acquired that, I call mail order to confirm that they've sent the Rx. Of course, no. They said it was too early, again. I JUST got a 10 day EMERGENCY supply to fill the 10 day shipping gap. Another multiple hours long phone call, and I finally get told that the override is taken care of, they spoke to an agent with my insurance, explained the whole situation, meds will be shipped overnight at their expense. Today, with three doses left from the emergency supply, I call to confirm that it's actually on it's way....because over night shipping would've had it to us by Saturday. Well wouldn't you know...not shipped. In fact, it wasn't even filled. This time I lost it. I got all of the same run around I've been getting this whole time. I was told her Rx will be filled tomorrow (3/6), and sent over night at their expense. We'll see. I can say with absolute certainty that I am DONE with their mail service after I receive my replacement supply.
