  • We are new to NV and we set up an appointment to establish care for our daughter at Bright Future Pediatrics because of the positive reviews it had. I called 2 weeks in advance and made the appointment, then went online to their website which has all of the paperwork that you need to have filled out prior to arrival-the website is really well put together, but some of the physicians listed are no longer with the practice. The day of the appointment we arrived 15 minutes early as the scheduler asked us to, only to be informed that we were not on the schedule...at all. Now since I had already provided them with my insurance card via fax and had spoken at length with the clerk, I was certain I had made the appointment for that date and time. The clerk was a bit puzzled that they did have our insurance and a file...but stated that the best they could do was try to squeeze us in but that it would be a 20 minute wait. We decided to wait...and wait and wait. As I walked away from the window I heard another clerk lean over to the one I was speaking with and tell her that she remembered speaking to me and that she must have messed up because she knew that we had scheduled the appointment. There were 3 families already in the waiting room when we arrived and so we assumed we would be taken back after them. As we sat there another 5 families arrived and all 5 were taken back-it had been over an hour by this time and I approached the window once more to ask if we should re-schedule- and they realized that they had forgotten to put our chart up to be called back...so she put the chart up and told me it would be (ha ha) 20 more minutes. I said nope never-mind we'll find somewhere else, but she said no and that she'd go get the medical assistant and hand her the chart and then we'd be called back immediately. Another 2 families came in and were called back. We were walking out the door when we were called back. Now remember this was close to 2 hours in the waiting room for a simple patient establishment appointment. We got to a room and the Pediatrician Dr. Grace was wonderful! She was very attentive, kind and considerate. She was extremely thorough in taking our daughter's history and did a great exam. She even reminded us that we were late for an immunization and provided it. The entire time she was with us she was fully present and engaged, which is rare. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because Dr. Grace was so surprisingly fantastic. She is the only reason that we will remain with Bright Future. Hopefully if there is ever a real problem with our daughter, there won't be so many problems being seen. So far, so good!
