The management office is run by a bunch of kids who all will tell you different things regarding rules, policies, flexibility and even payments.
We were ensured that our sublease (the only way to terminate our lease early under the new policy) would be signed in the summer and that they would have the apartment listed as available for anyone coming in looking for a unit. One employee said that the office would definitely let anyone looking for an apartment know that ours was available and help promote it, especially since they were at full capacity.
We found out months later, after continuously being ensured by multiple people, that the employees were not permitted to let any future residents aware of our unit we were trying to sublease.
Even after we found tenants on our own, the company made us jump through hoops to try to move forward with the transaction.
If you absolutely feel a need to investigate the place, try to do all your business with Shay. I've always found her to be the most professional, well-informed and honest person that works there.
