| - THE HOTTEST NEW CLUB IN VEGAS?!?!?
XS is STILL the #1 club in my book but Marquee should definitely be on everyone's Vegas clubbing line-up.
On Sat, 2/19/11, we came to Marquee for the FINALE of my friend's Bachelorette Party. So that there would be a home base for everyone, we opted for bottle service which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

$20 for girls and $50 for guys
LINE
Unlike other LV clubs, Marquee opens at 8:30 PM and I've heard the line starts forming at 8 PM!
There are separate lines for GA, GL, and Bottle Service. The lines are LONG for GL so just go to the GA line and pay for cover.
WARNING: Bouncers will NOT let you in if you show any signs of being tipsy in line.
DRESSCODE
Club Attire; NO tennis shoes, NO baggy jeans, NO flip flops and NO "T-shirt Time" (collared shirts for the guys)!
Tip: Ladies, I HIGHLY recommend investing ~$10 for a pair of Dr. Scholl's Fast Flats. I bring these babies every weekend when I go clubbing and they are a lifesaver! http://www.drscholls.com/drscholls/forher.jsp
CROWD
Mixed crowd w/ 35-40% being Asians; majority in their mid 20s to early 30s.
AMBIANCE/DÉCOR/LAYOUT
Marquee is part of the Tao Group and is a hybrid of Tao (layout) and XS (ambiance/décor). Unless you're a Stairmaster Nazi, you will NOT like the layout of Marquee.
There are 3 rooms. There's also an outside pool lounge area but it was closed that night b/c of bad weather.
Upon entering Marquee, you have to walk up 5 floors, about 8 flights of stairs to get into the 1st room.
ROOM #1: BOOMBOX ROOM - 5TH FL
There's 1 large bar, platforms for go-go dancers, a dance floor and bottle service for about 7 parties.
MUSIC
The DJ was spinning Top 40s, Hip-Hop, Mash-ups, Rap and Pop. Unlike Tryst, XS, and Surrender, House music was NOT mixed in! Yay!
The compilation of music the DJ played was good although there wasn't a smooth transition from one song to another. Nonetheless, the girls and I ended up dancing on top of the couches which is a good indicator we had a blast!
ROOM #2: MAIN ROOM/PERFOMANCE ROOM - 6TH FL
"Above and Beyond" was performing that night and the main room was CRACKING before 10 PM!
The main room was like a combo of XS' classy sheekness w/ a touch of an underground rave feel w/ all the glowing florescent lights and fishnet claded go-go dancers w/ bright wigs. There were 2-3 large bars, multiple large booths for bottle service and 1 large dance floor.
MUSIC
House. If you are a House Music Fanatic, you MUST check out the main room. The sound quality was awesome and each UNCE UNCE UNCE was clear and crisp!
ROOM #3: LIBRARY - 7TH FL
The library (smallest room) is a "man's man" room w/ a rustic western feel, complete w/ classic wooden furnishings, a pool table and antique-like books that you can actually read! There was 1 bar and several very small tables for bottle service.
MUSIC
Trance. My raving days are long gone, but I actually enjoyed the music for the 5 mins I was there.
STAFF
The staff at Marquee ROCKED!!! This made up for the poor layout, hence the 5 stars!
PROMOTER/HOST: Mike Tran was AWESOME! When I was arranging for bottle service, he was on top of EVERYTHING! He always responded quickly to all my calls/texts and annoying questions.
Even though Mike was working at Tao that night, he text me to make sure everything was ok and even came by to Marquee after Tao to make sure we were having fun. Seriously, who does that?!?!?
A special thanks goes out to Waldo for handling the logistics of our bottle service and Gia for help facilitating getting the girls in.
BOUNCERS: Unlike most clubs, most of the bouncers were very friendly.
Joe, the bouncer near our table was the BEST! He was friendly, sociable and made sure I didn't lose or get my phone stolen since I stupidly left it laid out on the table.
BAR/DRINKS
$15/shot for premium shots/cocktails. Drinks were easy to get at the bar w/ a wait of 5 mins max. However, my friend bought me 3 double shots of Goose (yes, I'm a lush) and each looked like a single shot.
BOTTLE SERVICE
We got bottle service in the Boombox Room and the minimum was $1,500. 1 Liter of Goose is $495. If you do the math, 1 Liter equals 33 shots and each shot at the bar is $15 which is also $495! There is an 8% tax and 20% gratuity BUT it saves you the hassle of waiting at the bar and you have your OWN area. WELL WORTH IT!
Our VIP hostess, Shauna was the sweetest thing ever! She was on top of everything; promptly made our drinks, ensured our area was clean, and was there the entire night overseeing things.
RESTROOMS
There were restrooms at every room level w/ multiple stalls, so there was NEVER a wait! A variety of toiletries was available: lotion, hair care products, perfume, eyelash glue, gum, etc.
Thanks to the Staff at Marquee, I had one of the BEST times of my life! I can't wait to come back and make a GRAND EXIT by jumping into the pool...
