  • My "food karma" was working in full force that sunday morning I visited Grouchy Johns. My friend and I had a late night and were looking for nice coffee spot to help us wake up and get the day started. We walked into Grouchy Johns a bit fuzzy but we instantly perked up when we saw all of the cool star wars decor and local art work all over. It was a lot to take in, there was a lot of "oooh's and aahh's" before we even made it up to the counter. Then we were hit with the very wide variety of coffee and smoothie options, I am absolutely the most indecisive person on the planet, if your ever behind me in a drive thru I apolagize. I finally decided on the shirley temple of doom smoothie, this decision may have been made soley on the cool name. My friend got some iced latte and we shared a breakfast croissant sandwich. Now here is where my "food karma" kicked in! The customer ahead of us paid for our whole order! And only asked that we paid it forward! Which we happily did for the couple behind us. My smoothie was yummy and refreshing, and my friends latte was delicous as well, the breakfast sandwich wasn't bad, but could have been better. But all in all our experience at GJ's was pretty rad.
