  • If you've never been here but frequent any of the cafes in the area, chances are you've had a Cleveland Bagel Co.'s bagel because they're everywhere. But their physical location is the only place where you can pair them with their scmears (which you can buy separately in a container by the half pound or the pound). I came here close to 12 so they were already closing but still had a bit of a selection left. I got two everything bagels, one with with the cheddar chive schmear and the other with the chorizo chipotle schmear. Each one was $4.00 (bagel + schmear) which isn't bad considering the quality of the bagel and the fact that that's literally your breakfast because you're not going to be hungry after. If you've never been here and unless you're buying your schmear separately, they will put the schmear on the bagel for you. I forgot this part when I was here and told them I didn't want to toast it because I figured I'm driving home and I'll toast it there. Yea, no. My fault. As for the bagels - they're good. But it's a bit of a tossup when trying to figure out how to rate the bagel. When compared to anything store bought? Of course they're superior. But there's no comparison to any other place in the area because no one else makes their own bagels. When compared to bagels from say NYC where bagel and schmear are a thing? They're not better. I'm not even sure they're on par? That's not to say they're not good but they're not THAT good. Same goes for the schmear but bagels and schmear are a bit of a novelty here at this point. I'd say that if you want to try this place, definitely stop by. But you have to do so early because they close at 12. Also keep in mind that their bagel and schmear offerings rotate weekly (if not daily, I'm not exactly sure) so if you look up their menu ahead of time, what you settle on may not be there when you actually get there. There's an area where you can sit if you really want to but there's not much in way of parking. There's a few spots outfront but it's a tight fit. I've always been in and out so it's been fine but I'm not sure what people do during the breakfast rush, probably the side streets.
