  • A fantastic little coffee house hidden away in a shopping center on Baseline in Tempe. The main door to the cafe is in the back and a bit hard to find. The interior is small but super comfortable. There are only a few small tables, a single larger table, and a counterspace with stools. The atmosphere is quiet and I have yet to visit where the location is so busy that there wasn't anywhere to sit and I'm hoping all the positive reviews here don't change that, because this is really an amazing place to sit down and read or do some work. The menu has a small menu and there are a limited number of baked goods available, but what they do is solid. A nice cold-brew iced coffee (albeit only available in dark roast) and a buttery scon, warmed up, is my go to. Prices are very reasonable. The interior is decorated in a very traditional, classy decor - the first thing to come to mind might be a 1930s speakeasy. It's dark with lots of wood and cushy seats. There's even a barbershop in the back. If you think the place might reek of the barbershop chemicals or noise of razors, it's far enough away where it really just adds to the weirdly comfortable ambiance.
