I heard it gets super busy on a weekend night but lunch on Friday after Thanksgiving was not crowded at all. We were seated quickly, even with our huge party of 15.
I heard that this is one of the best pho places from multiple Vietnamese folks. I personally can't tell the difference, but they offer a variety of pho, and everything was delicious. The oxtail fried rice is a must as is the mikong pho. The ingredients are fresh and broth tasted clean, which are always pluses for me! We like to eat our pho with sliced onions as a side dish covered in chili sauce, and they came out with sliced red onions which was yummy and not usual at pho joints in LA.
We didn't get the infamous lobster pho (market price was $45 when we went which is quite steep for pho...) but I heard it's overrated and not worth the big bucks. They also had a Instagram special where if you post a photo on Instagram, they take $5 off the plate. Even that incentive was not enough for us to take part.
I'd recommend stopping by for a lunch meal, but I don't think it's worth any sort of wait. It's a fun atmosphere though!
We did have a slight issue with one of our dishes--lets just say we found an unwanted item floating in it. The server was really nice and apologetic about it and took it off our bill rather than sending out a new dish, which was perfect for us.
