  • Guns and Ammo Garage was a good place for your gun needs. Recently, most of the old staff has been replaced. It's becoming more touristy and less gun owner oriented. I understand business and profit however, seems like shops open and close constantly in the valley. The ones that don't close, commercialize themselves to the point of uselessness. Order something and it takes forever to receive and communication via email and phone go with no responses for extended periods of time. When you order a product and have to constantly contact the retailer to get a status instead of them following up and contacting you.... Makes for a difficult relationship. I recommended many people to the garage and over the last several months think there are a few better shops in the valley. (UPDATE) Thank you for your timely yet misguided response. Please allow me to clarify a few things. My review of your business practices was spot on. In no way was it a personal attack on your establishment however, you reinforced my perception of the character and lack of leadership you have in management positions. Your facts are partly correct. My gf is in fact a former employee however, I was a customer long before her employment and in fact after her departure. As for your bringing personal emotion into the equation.... This is an accurate reinforcement of my perception of the lack of character and integrity of your management staff. My review stemmed from a purchase order. Correct. The order was placed in Sep/Oct 2014 and in fact an item was added. I was told about two weeks turnaround. You were given the Po# in Oct 2014. Numerous emails and phone calls were sent to your GM Adam and your retail Mgr Jason to which there was one response blaming the 5.11 rep. Emails were continuously sent through Jan of 2015 and I continually called and left messages which went without response from either. My order was finally completed when I came into the store the end of Jan beginning of Feb. The order was given to another sales employee to complete for me even though your sales Mgr was present. The lack of communication an accountability is astonishing. What is more concerning is your business response accusing me of "lashing" out. If I were so childish in nature I would've posted something much more volatile when my gf's employment ended the end of Nov. If it were personal, the order would have been cancelled. It was not. It was strictly business. Yelp was created for customers to post reviews of their interactions with a particular business. Most businesses take the critiques and make attempts to improve their business practices to better serve their customer base and hopefully correct any problems a customer may experience. I'm sorry you do not see it that way. My review is based solely on a business transaction. Thank you for your time and professionalism. It is greatly appreciated. (UPDATE) Thank you for your timely response. Once again, your facts appear skewed. I emailed Adam T on 12-18-2014 asking for a status on the last item. Numerous phone calls had been made to your business that went unreturned. I was mistaken on the date I hand delivered the PO# to your establishment, for that I apologize. Based on my email, the PO was delivered the end of Nov beginning of Dec. My email stated I had ordered the extra bag OVER A MONTH prior and after the original order was placed earlier. When the original order was placed you had four bags in stock. That means it should have only taken a few weeks to receive the last bag (as I was told) instead of months. I also emailed Jason L on the 27th of Dec after calling him earlier that week. Jason stated Adam was out of town for the holidays, but he would try to get me a status. I received no communication from anyone. The day I came in and dropped the PO# off, I was asked if i wanted to take the bags that were in stock on the order. I told the employee to hold them until the order was completed and that I would pick them up in full. You not being able to hand the items over until the purchase was approved and paid for statement is not really valid due to the above and the fact that as of the day I pick the order up, you still had not invoiced our account. Take responsibility for a lackluster and subpar business transaction and correct your mistakes as I have above. There are other details of this situation that I will send to Adam directly as a public forum is not the place and I have his email address obviously. On a side note, your unprofessionalism shines through once again as you edited the original response to my review. Says a lot about your disconnect with your local client base. I could drop my rating of you to 1-star however, that would be personal.
