  • Worst hotel stay, EVER! We previously stayed here and had a 5 star experience. My how things have changed! What we like about Elara is the location. Its central strip which works out nicely. The parking is free and they do not charge resort fees. Now on to this experience. We booked a jr suite and believe they must have upgraded us because we got a room with no jacuzzi and a bedroom. Wanted the jacuzzi, but fine no big deal. We settle in the room and start unpacking at about 4:30 pm or so. We tried to use the dresser drawer but there was a layer of dust and could not use any of the storage. Ok fine, we will just put our things in the suitcases on the floor. I take medication that requires refrigeration and I opened up the mini fridge. Out comes the last smell you want! VOMIT!! THATS RIGHT, SOMEONE PUKED IN THE FRIDGE. I couldnt see it, so it must have been wiped up, but the smell was devastatingly horrific. At this point we go downstairs to the desk to complain. They let us know if we want to go out they will have the room cleaned. Ok fine. We come back to the hotel at 11:30 pm. We go up to the room and the dust is gone. But guess what? THE SMELL OF VOMIT REMAINS! Exhausted after going out and travelling for 6 hours this day, we go back to the front desk and they move us to another room at midnight. We walk to the new room at midnight with suitcases in hand and open the door. WE ARE ENVELOPED WITH THE STRONG ODOR OF CAT URINE! We are so frustrated and tired we just say the hell with it, we will deal with it the next morning. The good news is that room 2 had no vomit in the fridge, however it also had water damage from the room above. Room 2 also had the thick layer of dust in all the drawer space. How low brow is this place? Pictures enclosed. The following day we find a housekeeper lady that helps us by using deodorizer on the cat piss smell on the carpet. We cleaned out the clothing drawers ourselves with wet towels. We lived with room for the next 4 days as we were scared to move to a new hell hole and have to start over. Think twice before booking here, you have been warned!
