I've been seeing Dr. Joya for almost two years now, I feel like he's attentive every time I go in. I was really stressed out during a period of time & he recommended for me to try and find something to help relieve it & even gave me a book on art.
Reason I'm giving this 1 star is because I had the WORST experience with their "office manager" Maria Joya. My insurance sent them a few emails on information to further process the claim from services in March & April. She stated to me that since it was passed the time frame that she wouldn't submit it because it wasn't her job to send that stuff in & it was mine. I kept trying to explain to her what my insurance needed & she kept talking over me & saying "mhm" "yeah okay, well this is your fault".
She then hung up on me as I was still trying to explain to her what they needed. After I called back, she said "you're dismissed, find another doctor, I'm putting you into collections, this is my office." She hung up AGAIN.
At this point I was irate, the fact that she's even trying to say she's going to put me into collections for charges that I'm not responsible for blows my mind.
It basically got to the point that I had to have both of my insurances on three way and my primary call the office to speak to her about getting the necessary documents. Because of her incompetence a situation that could've been avoided if she would've just done her job correctly a few months ago. How ironic that all of a sudden its passed the time to submit a claim. I've never dealt with her the entire time I've been seeing Dr. Joya which sucks because he's such a sweet guy and he has this woman working with him.
