  • I can not recommend them enough. I've been looking for an alexandrite to commemorate the birth of my son, and it's notoriously hard to find. Add to that, I've had some bad experiences with jewelry stores being notably unhelpful (or EXTREMELY pushy) in my search for the perfect piece. I walked in on a whim- I was in Old Town for lunch, and figured I'd at least ask. To my shock, they had a loose alexandrite on hand! AND, it was very reasonably priced. The gem, itself, wasn't what I was looking for, but I was impressed with their willingness to help, their selection, and when I said it wasn't right they didn't push me to buy it anyway because of alexandrite's rarity. I stuck around because the range of selection here is impressive. They have some absolutely stunning original pieces, and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything special. The salesperson, Mary Ellen, patiently helped me try on pieces, and offered advice for other pieces I might like based on my taste. I cannot emphasize enough that she was being truly helpful and not at all pushy. Nothing turns me off more in a jewelry store than someone pressuring me into buying something I'm not in love with. To my delight, we found a really stunning, unique ring. She educated me about the diamonds, and allowed me to look at it with a loop. I loved it, so she cleaned it, boxed it, and ordered an appraisal for me. It's now sparkling on my hand as I write this. I will definitely be back- they really have some amazing jewelry and an excellent staff.
