Over the last fifteen years or so, I have taken the beginner class twice and have found great benefit each time. I find the instruction to be challenging, precise, and somehow individualized, even with a larger group. I found myself able to attain poses and positions I had previously though impossible, such as a shoulder stand. I always felt peaceful, limber, and conditioned after each class. I especially love the straps on the wall for stretching. I also appreciate that there is no blaring music or televisions going as in other places.
The quiet promotes focus and presence to really be aware of your body. I plan on taking the beginner class that starts this week for the third time and am hopeful that life details won't derail my desire to continue on to the next level.
