| - Hey there fellow foodies!.. First off, I've seen this place on food TV shows and wanted to give it a try.
Upon entering, we saw it was busy, and thought we were in for a good experience.
We grabbed our plates and headed to the grub. I grabbed Mac n cheese, prime rib, a piece of bone w/ marrow. The marrow wasn't tasty at all, prime rib was dry and kind of tough, but Mac n cheese was really good. On my second tour the kung pow chicken was very good along with the wedge salad. My fiance grabbed French onion soup, prime rib, and eggplant parmesan. The prime rib was too tough for her, and there wasn't any eggplant in that particular dish. Now as I ate across from her I was hit by a stench probably as hard as Rousey was hit by Holm's kick. I looked up to see where the stench was emitting, and it was the French onion soup. Now I'm no chef, but if something smells that bad I won't touch it. However my fiance took a few sips and offered me a spoonful. Against my better judgement, I tasted it, and almost spit it out. It was sour, and smelled nasty. We then shifted to dessert. The pickings were slim, and were mostly mini cakes ice cream, and a apple cobbler. I chose the cobbler and a few cakes.
The cobbler which had obviously Sat for awhile was too bitter to eat. The cakes were dry and blah. My fiance had the same complaint and asked if this was the place that we saw on TV. I nodded yes, and apologized, because I pushed to come here and she was shooting for dinner at another place.
In a nutshell, this place was a typical buffet, nothing out of the ordinary. I had better at Mandalay bay buffet. Maybe they had an off day, I don't know, but it was not what I expected. Good luck if you decide to go there..
PS.. We were there 3/5/16 at 7pm.
