| - I just moved here from out of state. I needed to get my teeth cleaned and although I LOVED my old dentist, I didn't feel like driving 6 hours to see him. I asked around for a good dentist, but the referrals I called were very expensive. Then I resorted to Yelp and found McAdams Dental. I was skeptic at first to go to a dentist I read about online, but I called the office and they were so friendly. Their prices were reasonable, too (I don't have insurance).
The downside was that, with my work schedule, I need a 1st or last appointment of the day and they had about a 2 month wait. I scheduled anyway, and asked that they call me if something earlier popped up. They did call, but I couldn't take the appointment. They do have extended hours which is good.
The other downside was that all the reviews I read was for Dr. McAdams and that was the reason I decided to schedule an appointment here. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I would not be seeing Dr. McAdams, but Dr. Lonier who recently joined the practice. I knew nothing of this Dr. Lonier and was a little peeved that no one told me my appointment would be with him. However, I was already there, I waited 2 months, I figured might as well continue with the appointment.
The hyginist was very sweet and really cared about making sure my teeth were healthy. Dr. Lonier seemed really knowledgeable and also cared to make sure my teeth and gums were healthy. I was satisfied and will be going back in 6 months. I think that visit will be with Dr. McAdams. I have nothing against Dr. Lonier, I was satisfied, but if there are 2 dentists in the practice, I would like to feel comfortable with both.
