Made reservations one month in advance. I had a voucher that: "entitled the bearer to one free night stay at any Best Western". Came in off the last flight to Cleveland at 1AM, presented the voucher to the desk clerk, but she refused to take the voucher without the rewards card. She had to pre authorize my credit card for the night stay This was worked out with BW Customer service and they said the front desk will now take the voucher in the morning. Go down the next morning but they still will not take the voucher ;) I explain it is just like a gift card. Why do you need the card number that purchased the gift card?
The manager eventually did accept the voucher on a "temporary basis" with no charge to my card.

Cons: dirty air filters on the A/C unit
