"The Ship" was "OK" about 8 - 10 years ago. Now it's a trendoid destination, and a victim of its own success in a lot of ways.
There is a 15 - 30 person lineup just to get in on a weekend. I cant imagine why, the beer is not cheap and the food is not spectacular. Mainly "yuppie" and college / university types frequent The Ship.
There is certainly no theme with regard to the music or general atmosphere. Lots of soccer memorabilia, but this isn't a British pub in any way.
I was told there's an ATM when I went to pay with interac, even though they totally take interac (???). There were a few (but not lots) of reasonably attractive college type girls here, but they all looked unapproachable -- involved in conversations with their friends about politics or their midterm next week.
I'm not sure who they are trying to appeal to here. Generally this place is unfortunately a "fail" which is a shame because it used to be an allright, if only predictable, place to go.
