Sunday brunch after a long run was a blessing as my runch buddies and I were famished by the time we finished our run.
The Corner Place is just a short walk from Yonge and Wellington and the food is always delicious at reasonable prices.
Service is friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Plus they're able to accommodate food orders due to allergies without much of a fuss or roll of the eyes.
We all ordered the Carnita Sandwich ($12.99) and it was absolutely delish. The bun got a little bit greasy from the brisket, but the flavours just melts in your mouth and the fried egg adds a nice consistency to the sandwich. Plus more protein for us runners which we weren't complaining about.
Also they had $3.50 mimosas, so it was a no brainer that we all ordered one or two mimosas which definitely complemented the meal nicely.
Only complaint was we all wished there were more hash potatoes and fruits on our plates.
I've only ever gone for brunch and it was always delicious, so cannot comment on their dinners, but will eventually try it one day.
In addition, I cannot wait until patio season as they have a good patio out front which is great for people watching in St. Lawrence Market and catching some sunshine.
