| - Most of the crappy reviews I see are people complaining that they couldn't get out of their membership, or that they had to wait for some food item, or some one time negative thing happened. If you join a gym, and you don't choose the month by month option, there is going to be some drama trying to get out of the membership. That's just how it goes. It's a big company, don't expect anything different. If you aren't sure about the commitment upfront, pay the extra $10 a month and do the month by month. It's not rocket science.
That being said, they are by far the favorite gym I have ever been to because... Shocker! I utilize the amenities! If you just want free-weights and machines, maybe some treadmills, go to EOS or 24 hour fitness, because, yes, you will feel like lifetime is overpriced. I have utilized the trainers here, they are well educated and easy to get along with, of course they try to sell you their service, it's their job, but no one is pushy or makes you feel like crap if you say no. Everything is clean, almost all of the group fitness classes are included in the membership, the pool is beautiful, the locker rooms and showers are always tidy and smell great, no sweaty equipment. Towels always available. Drinking fountains always work. Café makes food that actually taste good. No problems redeeming my lifetime bucks to use on spa purchases. Overall, I have zero problems giving them 50 some dollars a month. I'm there almost daily. I shower there, save on my water bill!
