  • Abstract: Without question the best place to train Brasilian Jiu Jitsu in Las Vegas. Robert Drysdale is as legit as they come. ADCC Absolute Champion, multiple-time World Champion, undefeated in MMA. And Sonny Nohara is no fucking slouch either; he alone could get a group of smaller guys ( LESS THAN 65 kg) in a gym and easily make it both worthwhile to join and profitable for himself to own. And the training partners you will gain there .. wow ... Legit Black Belts F. Curreri and S. Spangler; Brown Belt K. Woodmansee (who I actually have never trained with, but have competed against); Purples Almodovar brothers and last but not least R. Lopez. Solid Blues (Matt comes to mind, but he should be a Purple by now) all around as well. This is the place to go for top-notch BJJ training partners, especially if you are on the smaller side, and even if you are not (Robert and Spangler are not small by any means). Location-wise, I never trained at the new place, which I guess is bigger and better than their first one. Their first one was a stereotypical, small/cozy BJJ spot in a dime-a-dozen strip mall near CSN-Charleston. The bottom line is that if you are here to train BJJ, you cannot go wrong. - E Postscript. Women are in really good hands with Sofia Drysdale, the Mrs of the academy who is Robert''s wife and also a legitimate, accomplished BJJ Black Belt and AT LEAST Judo Brown Belt if not Black Belt in that discipline as well.
