  • This place is a rip off! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I took my 750 BMW here for a rebuilt transmission back in Jan. My boyfriend is a certified mechanic - after performing a transmission fluid change on my car, he said the transmission was gone but could not perform this at home. Franks Rep. quoted us $3,500 for a rebuilt with a 3 year warranty. Their price was a little higher than other shops but I was ok with this because of the length of the warranty. 1st issue: After multiple conversations I was never told that I would be charged over $150 to diagnose the issue (which would NOT get applied towards the service fee). 2nd issue: After 5 days they come back with an estimate of over $3,400. Saying I need everything from windshield wipers to a brake fluid flush but still no feedback on my transmission. 3rd issue: The next day they contact me and say they want to start from square one and perform a transmission fluid change. I explained that this was just done but they say they must perform this as part of their diagnostics, they charge me over $600! Final issue: The next business day, Franks Rep calls to say, I need a new transmission and tries to push a USED transmission with 85K miles on me. For a fee of $5,250 and $530 for the 1 year warranty. I asked what happened to the 3 year warranty? It's NOT offered on used transmissions. He then quotes me $7,500-$10,000 for a rebuilt which includes the 3 year warranty. I asked him what happened to what I was originally quoted ($3,500) for a rebuilt? He then lies and makes it seem as though he didn't know the make and model of my car when providing the quote over the phone. He goes on to say the transmission itself does cost $3,500 so his quote is accurate but he has to charge me for labor. Which is total BS. He knew the make, model and year. And who calls to get a quote on a service and you only provide the cost of parts. This makes no sense. It had been 7 business days and now they were quoting me 2-3 times more for a rebuilt transmission. I was so upset with their lack of integrity. I picked up my car the next day. After their sublet repairs, shop supplies and environmental fees - I paid close to $900 for NOTHING. Another shop charged me $2,850 for a rebuilt transmission (exactly what they quoted), which included a warranty and I had my car back in less than a week. Worst of all, I noticed bible scriptures posted around the showroom floor. How ironic, coming from people who lie, cheat and steal from their customers. May the Lord have mercy on Frank and his employees for using the Lord's name in vain.
