| - About two weeks ago, I was scheduled for an interview. I looked at my hair and nails and realized, I needed to invest in myself as one never gets a second chance at first impressions.
It was 11 am and I had the whole day to take care of these needs. At first, my plan was to go to one place to have my hair done and another place for my mani-pedi. After calling a few hair salons, I remembered that Posare was near where I lived. Not realizing that Posare was a full-service salon, I was able to schedule both my hair and nails.
Because this was a Tuesday morning, Posare was not fully staffed. As I checked-in, the Manager was going to do my hair while she called and scheduled someone to come in for my mani-pedi.

Because this was my first time here, my haircut was $45 and color was $65. I haven't colored my hair since 2006, we weren't sure the color wasn't going to take, but so glad it did. All-in-all, a good experience.
Nails by Trina
The previous nail salon I went to pretty much ruined my nails. My nails are normally thick and strong. I always get gels because they last longer. Unfortunately, many nail techs are unfamiliar with removing gel nails that the last tech, using the motorized file, filed my nail almost to the skin causing my nails to be weak and thin. So much so, that a little growth of my nails, it would easily tear. By the time I met Trina, it was 5-weeks since I had done my nails as I waited for them to grow out.
Sharing this information with Trina, she assured me that she could fix my nails with the type of gel that she uses. Her amazing products are organic and powder form. It was all very interesting to watch her mix a color for me that would give my hands the polished professional and natural look that I wanted to portray to my possible new employer.
The night before, the corner of my right thumb nail tore right above the skin that I had to cut it to prevent it from tearing the entire nail and my skin. So,Trina corrected this with the materials she had and actually created a faux nail for me. All my nails that I had to cut to the skin. she made it appear that I actually had longer nails. My nails are also thicker and stronger because of the gel, that I no longer have to worry about my nails tearing. As I rub my nails together, it almost feels like glass. The other great part of this, the faux part of my nail feels like my natural nail.
As Trina and I were talking, she mentioned that she has had several clients where she fixed their nail fungus problems. After she fixed my nails, I believe she can fix nail fungus. She said she does this by meticulously cleaning up the nail fungus and then applying the faux nail. So if you have a family member, male or female, that maybe embarrassed by nail fungus, I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Trina to help correct that.
Trina also did my pedicure. At the end, my heels and calves felt super smooth.
The manicure and pedicure was $45 each. Before I forget, the organic gel nails last 5-weeks, so the $45 is well worth it.
