  • [Note: This is a review on the M.A.C stand at the Nordstrom's, not the actual store.] Prom time! And where do girls just fight to get their make-up done for such an occasion? M.A.C of course! I had originally scheduled an appointment with the stand at the nearby Macy's, but due to scheduling differences, I was unable to make my initial appointment and had reschedule it to this M.A.C stand. (Not sure how I was able to, particularly on a prom night for a big school like Seneca Valley, but somehow I was able to. +1 for M.A.C. @ Nordstroms!) Anywho, on the phone I spoke to Trish (a sweetie on the phone, and in person!) who was enthusiastic about doing my make-up for me and even started asking about what I was wearing to have on my dress even on the phone, something I usually don't receive from stuck-up San Diego M.A.C artists. The some issues I had with the place was being slightly late for my appointment, but they were still busy with other people (thought the artistry does take a bit to create perfection) but it took standing there for about 15 minutes till Trish was available and even while helping me, the other artists kept on stopping her while she was doing my make up but she quickly got back to me as soon as possible. I was pleased with what she came up with, and she even complemented how my lips were perfect like a doll's and gave me shiniest red-red lips ever. I'd show pics, but as soon as we got in the car, my boyfriend accidentally messed up the gloss. That idiot. I only bought my A99 lipstick and a Lady Gaga lipstick for my future mother in law (mother's day was the next day, you see.), obviously not making the $50 purchase requirement that most M.A.C stores require you to have, but Trish didn't care. I do regret not buying my foundation and powder while I was still there (6% sales tax completely beats the 9.99% I get in San Diego. :{) but my boyfriend's family was in a rush to grab lunch too, so we had to rush out, since it took longer than expected.
