My husband and I recently relocated to Charlotte for his job and around the same time, got our first puppy. Within a few weeks after bringing him home, I finally found a job here- YAY. My excitement quickly turned to anxiety when I realized I would have to leave him home all day at just a few months old. I felt like the worst dog mama ever. We tried another service and had a horrible experience and then I felt like an even worse dog mama. Then, after a little (okay a lot) of internet research, we found Wags in the City. They were amazing and stepped in almost immediately to take over two dog walking visits per day. They were also the best price quote that I received of the 6 or so services that I called. Every day now, we come home to lovely notes from our dog walker- usually Chandler or Kate who are both fantastic- and a happy puppy. We also just used them for a weekend visit while we were away and Beth personally picked him up and dropped him off at our house at the beginning and end of the weekend. Our pup must have slept for a day straight when we got back home- he had so much fun.
I should also mention that the sitters are very thoughtful and intuitive- our dog wasn't feeling well one day and Kate alerted me that something was "different" about his behavior via text message and we were able to come home to take him to the vet- he had eaten something bad. I can't think of anyone else who would have noticed the slight change in his behavior and thought to alert us. Above and beyond. Thank you WAGS! We (and Slater!) are so happy to have you!!
