We were in Vegas for a vacation and decided to try an escape room for the first time. We started easy with the hostage rescue room. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had a slow start but once we got the first key, we got a groove going. You are allowed 3 hints.
Note that if you are dead-set against using hints this room may have a fatal flaw. If you start ransacking the room and moving things that you think are useful, it is possible to sabotage getting one of the combinations. We found a clue too late to prevent the damage and we had to use a hint to move on. If you think hints are cheating, it may become incredibly difficult, if not impossible to move forward so beware if you are that person.
There was a mix-up involving booking and the use of a coupon but the staff was able to coordinate with management to fix the issue and refund us the difference.
Lockdown is great intro to Escape Rooms and I can't wait until they open back home in L.A.
