We moved our service and I was told we would only pay a $75 transfer fee (I guess as a thank you for staying with them) and that our monthly rate would stay the same. We moved, paid the $75 and now they have increased the price of our service by 63%!!!! I have called numerous times and all they say is that the person who told me this information was wrong and there's nothing they can do because once you move you lose all your promotional pricing. I move and CHOOSE to stay with Cox, they lie about pricing and now I have no recourse????
How is this legal? How can they lie about pricing then change it afterwards?
Does anyone know of a recourse as I would love to file a complaint legally.
I would have went with a different provider if they had told me the truth when scheduling my transfer of service.
If anyone has a recommendation for a different provider, please post as Cox will lose my business.
