  • Terrible service. I was coming in as a new patient. I was told to be there @ 9:45 for a 10am appointment. I let them know I was coming from out of state. The woman on the line was very pleasant, set the appointment and stated she would let them know. I arrived on time, actually 5 minutes early. I went into the office. The woman behind the counter did not introduce herself, no name tag, no name plate any where. I signed my name on their sign up sheet. She did not say hi, hello, can I help you... nothing. With a very gruff voice, she asked "You a new patient?" I said yes. She then asked "did you bring paperwork?" I stated no. She grabs a clip board and stated "You have to fill these out, there are 5 pages, check front and back" Then immediately turns away from me. I go fill out the paperwork. 10 minutes later I take them back up. Another woman who is pleasant takes my id, insurance card and cc for the co-pay. She was prompt and said thank you. I have no idea her name either as they do not have name tags. From 10-10:45 many people come in, many people go into the back. I am not one of these people and there are a few with me that are sitting and getting impatient. The original woman behind the counter is loud and rude to everyone of them EXCEPT another doctor who comes in and states that he has an appointment tomorrow and wants to make sure he can get in right away because he has to be in the OR later that day. She softens and lowers her voice and states there will be no problem, she will make sure he gets in right away. Also during this time frame, she is calling out for people and miss pronouncing their name, when each of them correct her with the proper pronunciation of their name, she states things like "yeah, mmmhmmm, okay etc" Everyone in the office who had their name miss pronounced took her rudeness and sat back down. I guess no one dared to stand up to her. By 10:45 I have had enough. I go up to the front desk and state I want my co-pay refunded I need to leave, I need to get to work. She asked with an extremely rude tone "What's your name?" I told her. She said "Well, your next". I stated that I didn't care, I had been waiting long enough. I stated that I was here at 9:45 when I was instructed to be. I was told my appt was at 10. She started in on me that it was made for 10:15 and that I had to be here at 9:45 for paperwork. I stated that it's still 30 minutes past that and not to argue with me. I just want my money back so I can leave. The woman who took my payment stated to the rude woman that she needed my receipt. ( I am in ear shot of their conversation), I am getting it out of my wallet before she can finish her statement. The rude woman sees this and in a snotty tone asked "You have your receipt?" The woman who originally took my payment was again very nice, ran the charges back. The woman who was rude, handed me the receipt back and said again very rude; "Here" I have no idea how the doctors and physicians are with their patients, but that one front desk person guaranteed loss of revenue for this office from me and my family. With so many doctors out there, although they may be wonderful, we all need to stand up to the ones who have rude staff. If you go to a specialty doctor such as them it is because you are in need. People who choose the line of work of helping others in need, should not be rude. I will not be going back to them. Not just for how rude this woman was to me, but also my observations of how rude she was to others and how this doctors office does not seem to recognize other people's time is just as valuable. ~MJ
