| - I have only been here once, but that is of no fault of this place.
I'm honestly not a coffee person, and as someone on a rather tight budget, I try to avoid coffee shops.
The one time I did find myself here, I was out on a walk. I had just gotten back from dropping off a package at the post office when I got caught in a massive downpour. I instantly ducked into the closest shop I could find, and found myself here. I was soaked to the bone; my white and gray striped shirt had actually become rather see-through, and my hair was dripping onto the floor. I figured I should try to find some way to dry off, and I approached the counter. The barista offered me a rather large amount of napkins, and informed me that they had a hand dryer in the bathroom that might help. She was very sweet and friendly, and everyone treated me with such warmth.
I was honestly embarrassed to be entering a coffee shop while in such complete disarray, but customers and service people alike, were all so kind and compassionate. I ended up buying a cup of spiced apple tea, and it was honestly one of the most delicious things I had ever had to drink. It warmed me inside and out, and made waiting out the rain seem almost pleasant. The coffee shop was peaceful, and actually rather quiet, despite the amount of people.
When the rain had finally stopped, I kept my now empty cup and walked the rest of the way home with my socks sloshing in my shoes with every step. After a hot shower and a change of clothes, I boiled some water and reused the teabag from the coffee shop. It was so large and so full of tea that I wound up getting three servings out of it.
While I am not a coffee person, and I am on a tight budget, this was an experience I will not soon forget. And if you ever ask me to hangout, and you tell me you want to go to a coffee shop, you best believe I will be recommending Rocky River.
