  • The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is the staff. The staff was very nice and made for a pleasant experience. Otherwise it would have been a 2-star. We took advantage of their $99 summer special with $20 free play at the casino and $25 food credit. VALET: Wasn't there when we pulled up and waited for a little bit. Usually we don't do valet, but it was really hot and I would have gladly taken advantage of valet service. CHECK-IN: Sigh. Check-in was at 4pm, we arrived at 5pm. The line was almost to the front door, with one woman at the front desk checking people in. Another woman eventually showed up once we arrived to the front of the line. We were told our room wasn't ready! It was clear many of the rooms weren't ready by the amount of people sitting in the lobby with their luggage. They called us at 6:15pm to let us know our room was available. Later that night, the front desk staff called us and offered us late checkout at 2pm instead of 12pm as a courtesy for the late check-in. That was a nice gesture but I wish they would have been properly-staffed to begin with to have everyone's rooms ready and move the check-in line quickly. ROOM: Nice, clean and spacious. Only gripe I have is...they were stingy with the coffee! Haha. It wasn't very good anyways but only 2 packs of it for the little single-serve machine. Wi-fi service was reeeaaaally spotty. T-Mobile has terrible service there so I was hoping the wi-fi would be solid, but alas it wasn't. HOUSEKEEPING: I rang them to ask for more coffee around...8pm? It just kept ringing and ringing and ringing. Called a couple times within the same hour and no answer. I guess no one was even on-shift? All in all, the theme of our stay was--the resort seemed understaffed, but the staff that WAS there at least was very nice. Not necessarily their fault that they were dealt a bad card/shift. Maybe they aren't as generous with the staffing hours during the summer? But at least have the manpower around during the weekends, especially with the summer special going on! Lots of families and staycationers were there for sure.
