Oh Super 8. I get it - you get what you pay for, especially in a town like Vegas. And sure, you're not too far from a lot of the major venues on the Strip (it's about a 30 minute walk to the MGM or a 15 minute walk to the Cromwell). And hey, free WiFi is always a plus. But my experience was not particularly great even for that price where my complaints stem from here.
Firstly, when I got there, I was unable to get a non-smoking room with the best effort being a spray to try and get rid of the smell. I instead spent a lot of time turning on the fan and keeping the door open to try to get rid of it. Second, expect little customer service at peak hours as the small staff tries to try to both accommodate the influx of guests and hotel room needs. Finally, there are a bunch of smaller cons like really smoky hallways, a weird outer area around the hotel and a very barebones continental breakfast.
You get what you pay for and although it may be one of the better 'budget' hotels, my experience was not great for any hotel experience.
