  • What used to be a lovely place to sit and read, or talk quietly with a friend, has been transformed in recent months. The pastries and bread, the coffee, the staff are still exceptional, but it's now become a no-go zone for locals like me. I thought my friends were exaggerating, but no....where once you walked up to the tearoom to hear a pleasant murmur of French and evolved English voices, you're now hit by a wall of loud loud loud braying students....the free wifi lures them and keeps them there, where they act as if in their own living rooms. I drank my coffee in 5 minutes and fled.
