rev:text	This iconic hotel that I believe dates back to the 1920's is a must in my book. I believe every President has stayed here. Steeped in history that is an interesting read. It is a beautifully restored resort with gorgeous architecture. It is laid out on a huge piece of property. With that in mind, there will be walking involved. More than you might imagine. If this is a concern for you, you may want to stay in the main building. There are many buildings. The grounds are well manicured, maintained and are stunning. It is impressive upon arrival. Check in was smooth We had to walk quite a ways to our room. Like I felt like I was on a hike. Had it been raining I'm not sure what we would have done because the entire journey was uncovered. I know rainfall is low here, but a woman thinks about these things. The room was outdated and was in a one level structure that had about 4 rooms. Strange. We called to make a change which was granted. The room we were moved to was fabulous. Modern, quite large, french doors leading out to a wonderful patio. May I move in? I opened my french doors one morning while relaxing over coffee and birds flew in!!! Wouldn't you have liked to be a fly on the wall as I screamed in hysteria. The resort has a beautiful spa, full sized gym, pools, miniature golf/putting and bike rentals. Oh it even has a life sized chess board. The restaurants are lovely and delicious. There are fire pits and couches on patios with communal seating off the main lobby. I did not even need to leave here. The entire experience was luxurious. Understated quiet refined luxury.
