| - Full of monuments, lookouts and picnic spots the heart of Montreal lies Parc du Mont-Royal.
Typed in the Magellan and couldn't get to the top Car lookout point from the direction
I was going in so I ended up at the Beaver Lake house. So great too because a nice couple leaving offered their parking ticket to my Fiance and they had an Hour Left Perfect!!
Mount Royal Park is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.
Frederick Law Olmstead, the landscape architect behind New York's Central Park, designed the jewel of the Montreal park system in 1876.
We walked into the Building that's there, its old and inside there's a cute restaurant, a gift store, a museum, a cafe, and downstairs more learning facts and bathrooms that have a stone wall that looks ancient.
Oh I forgot to mention its all free to look at! Yep so you can spend an hour looking at stuff and walking up to the view point by walking on the Pedestrian path.
The Building in the lookout View isn't always open. It was musty smelling and had cute statues of Squirrels on the Beams, and some LED lighting on the chandeliers.
You know why their statues are of Squirrels?? They are everywhere outside and so friendly!
They also have a Hot Chocolate Machine which was a downer, I wanted a Hot chocolate but not from a machine thanks.
I Love the View, its Urban Montreal for what it is and has its own special charm to it.
Yes I will Be Back here!!

"Across from Old Montreal, there's a permanent wave here caused by swiftly moving water over the river bottom. Surfs up. Always." **
