| - The Cupcakery is a small bake shop that's somewhat hidden. If you see Red Robin, it's within that parking area. Upon entering I love seeing how creative and playful their décor is, it's absolutely whimsical. They have an assortment display case of freshly baked and yummy cupcakes. Each cupcake price is $3.50. Ordering half a dozen is $19 and a dozen cupcake is $38. If you come early morning they sell yesterday's cupcakes for $2 each which are just as good, and depending on the day may run out quickly. Sometimes making a choice on which cupcake to order is hard to do, they all look delightful and I feel like wanting to try one of each.
I went for the Peanut Butter Cup and Mounds of Joy. The Peanut Butter Cup has an abundant chocolate cake flavor that's topped with a nice creamy peanut butter frosting, some chopped peanuts and chocolate sprinkles. The chocolate cupcake is so moist, it does taste a little sweet, but the peanut butter frosting is amazing. The Mounds of Joy has a coconut cake flavor that's topped with chocolate buttercream frosting, shaved coconut flakes, and almond slices. I like the taste of coconut cake, but the shaved coconut flakes seems a little overpowering on the chocolate frosting and it's not as enticing as having an Almond Joy bar. If I were to make a personal order, I would probably do a swirl of coconut and chocolate cupcake topped with peanut butter frosting.
In addition, they sell cake pops for $2.50 each. They offer 3 to 4 flavors: red velvet, vanilla, chocolate, and fun fetti which is mainly vanilla cake pop with sprinkles. You can also have a custom cake done by them. Just bring a picture and they will make the order. I ask how much it will cost to make a cake, they say it varies and it depends on the type of cake. In the meantime I have yet to try other flavors, but I will definitely consider them for a personalized custom order when a special celebration comes to mind.
