Dumpster fire. That's what I think of when I think of the Charlotte airport Hertz location. They have eight desks and three kiosks, but you can only expect one of the eight desks to be manned and maybe one or two of the kiosks to actually work. I only hope you're a Gold Member and can bypass the check-in altogether, otherwise you can realistically expect a 45 minute to one hour wait.
In peak times and in cases where flights are canceled, this location is completely unprepared to handle anything outside of a minimal level of business.
The employees are all very friendly and as helpful as possible, but Hertz doesn't do much to set them up for success. Take it from a Five Star Gold Member: avoid this location if possible. Unfortunately, if you're like me, your travel plans may dictate that you don't have a choice. In that case, make sure you're mentally prepared for the dumpster fire.
