I said in previous review that I wold most likely never return to Geovanti's but tonight I went against my word and decided to order a three piece chicken strips for delivery. On my order I asked if I could have the contact information of the manager/owner so I could contact them and share my experience of the other night. 10 minuets after I placed the order I received a phone call from the manager who turned out to be the "goon" who had torn up my receipt. I feel bad for using that word because the guy was very nice and professional and was even aware of my previous Yelp review. After talking to him he told me it is the policy of Geovanti's to tear up tickets so people cannot pick up a ticket off the ground and use it to fill an order they didn't pay for. He also explained that they have had always had the five dollar deal to get your food earlier, and the cash goes to the underpaid cooks. The reason why my five piece chicken strips took so much longer was because the cooks normally work in denominations of three and when they get an order for five, "it throws them off of their game." His recommendation for making sure you get an order filled out in a reasonable time is to order by phone before and and pick it up. This is what I will do next time I come to Geo's to avoid the post bar frenzy.
TL;DR Geovanti's has good quality food and I somewhat overreacted in my first review. At 2:00 in the morning I should have expected a long wait and I shouldn't blame the overworked and overwhelmed staff. I will go back and I urge others to go as well.
