| - I don't think I will be bringing my dog back here. I've been taking her here for a while now, usually for routine check ups, shots, nails and gland expressions. I took my 3 year old pug here on September 2nd because she had been crying during bowel movements, to the point where it was extremely concerning. Upon bringing her in, I was charged the exam fee, which is fair. The first red flag was when they took her back there for the exam, she wasn't even back five minutes. They brought her back and insisted it was the amount of fiber in her food. Which I didn't believe but I took their word for it and was going to try different food. Today I have tried three different foods and the pain has not subsided in anyway it's gotten worse, so I called them to bring her in. They said Sunday's they only do walks ins. Took her in at 12:45. There was one other person ahead of me and two people were being seen ( there are only two vets that work on Sunday ) and they said it shouldn't be a long wait. Two people came in after me and after about and hour and ten minutes of not being called back, one of the men that came in after me complained to the secretary saying he just needed to get his dogs stitches looked at and he'd be in and out. So what does she do, brings him back and says the vet will see him right away. He was in the room 30 minutes. (Not very satisfying after there are "no appointments") at that point I finally got brought back. I explained to the vet assistant my pug's symptoms and I asked them if they could wave my exam fee since I didn't feel they did a full exam last time and that the food had nothing to do with it. She told me that since it was over month it probably wouldn't be waived but I could talk to the actual vet about it, so they took my dog back and once the vet came in, he explained they couldn't find anything out of the ordinary and said he wanted to do X-rays because it could be her back?? One my dog is 3 years old. And has no other problems with her back and she doesn't cry when she arches her back during bowel movement, it's when she actually passes the bowel. He was very sarcastic and made the comment " well let me just tell you if I had a machine I could just run her through to tell me what's wrong, trust me I'd do that and if that existed I wouldn't even be working here" okay?? I didn't apperciate the sarcasm and just wanted to stress why I think that may not be a possibility because they were wrong the first time. I then went on to ask him about the exam fee and first he told me that's not something he could wave because he took the time to look at her, and said I waited to long to take her back in. (Which keep in mind they never offered a follow up exam to me.) Hello, when you tell me it's the food obviously I'm going to try and test different foods and give it a little time for her to adjust to see how it would effect her. He then went on to tell me if i paid for the X-rays he would then only wave the exam fee. I felt like I was getting no where with them and agreed to pay the exam fee and her pain meds and get a second opinion. They also try and throw things in here and there to get the most money they can out of you and instead of asking you they just TELL you what they're going to do. To top it all of i asked if i could pay half my bill today and the rest this upcoming Friday, and i was told NO, they don't do that.. I will not be taking my dog back here because bottom line I don't feel like they have your animals best interest in mind and will do anything to drain you for your money. Try somewhere else!
