  • So much more beneath the surface, you'll see what I mean... It's unlike any bookstore I've ever been to! Designed to the 9's every surface and square inch is beautifully rendered. A true reflection of the owners who are both incredibly passionate to their mission of creating a new element to the community through an array of carefully selected books and free programs to the public which takes place in their back multipurpose room. I wanted to buy everything in the store. We were rushed to go in and out so quick because someone in our group was tired and grumpy lol. We'll be back for more next time we're in Vegas. It's safe, there's plenty of places to park nearby, tons of books to read and lots of cool people there to show you around. I am totally digging the energy at The Writer's Block and no doubt they will be hugely successful because of their true love for people and books. Tips: Look for the neon sign at the front and a letter press in the window! Also check out the Container Park which is three blocks away on 7th and Fremont. There's a podcast, The Downtown Podcast, that takes place right across the street. Lots of cute restaurants and bars surrounding for miles on end either way on Fremont. Have fun!
