  • First time I've ever been to CUT, and while I didn't get the wagyu there are certain factors that make it lacking compared to, say, Alexander's. Overall, 3.5 due to price point. FOOD QUALITY: Steaks, are without a doubt, done exactly the way they should be: cooked to perfection, so unless you've come on an off day then .. the execution of the steaks should be perfect. Fried cheese sticks makes for a unique beginning, and it's followed by a selection of bread of your choice, all which are soft and fluffy, and served with organic butter. The bread is good, but I didn't feel like it was to die for like some other restaurants have; it doesn't melt in your mouth and the temperature of these breads are just warm (not fresh-out-the-oven-warm either) Mac n' Cheese was .. mac n' cheese with a really nice cheese crust on top; it's a treat for your belly if you can take cheese. Otherwise, go for the brussel's sprouts-- somehow the yuzu aoili sauce blends citrus and creamy flavors nicely to complement the flavors of sprouts that have been cooked with some sort of fat that mellows out the bitterness. But the highlight is supposed to be the steaks! While the meat itself doesn't disappoint, I found the sauces and seasoning pretty lacking .. it'll come with three, rather forgettable, sauces with a pit of salt to season your slices. In addition, we ordered the house steak sauce that worked decently; it's your A1 steak sauce equivalent but made in a way that doesn't overpower the flavor the steaks as much. I felt that if I ate the steak with the sauces, then I'd be eating the steak for the sauces; and if I ate the steak without any sauce, then I felt it needed some sort of sauce. SERVICE: Our waiter was pretty polite but felt pretty intense. They explain the dishes to you, fill up your water as they see, pull out your chair upon seating-- they do everything a high end restaurant is supposed to do. Though, I thought our waiter's attention waned as a large party came in and felt that he'd rather cater towards them religiously ENVIRONMENT: Comfortable seating, not too loud, clean, and fancy inside. BUT.. The most impressive thing about this restaurant is the fact that Their Chairs Rotate.
