I came here before my brother's wedding for a manicure and pedicure. I had a Groupon that included both so I made an appointment for two days before the wedding. I feel like Revelations has a pretty good reputation in the area so I was excited to try it. My appointment was for 4:30. I was finally seated at 5:15. I asked if I could upgrade to a Shellac manicure and I would be happy to pay the difference but the nail tech didn't know how to do it. She did my pedicure first and could not have been less professional. She rested one hand on the counter while she painted my nails lazily with the other hand. It was awful and took forever. I was going to ask for a French for my hands but didn't want to see what the disaster would be so I stuck with the color. Again, she looked so bored and unprofessional doing my nails.
I understand that a Groupon is frustrating for business. However, it is their choice to put them out there. And it is a perfect opportunity for them to gain new clients and show them they should be going there all the time. I will never go back. I've gotten better service at my local strip mall nail salons. I emailed the manager explaining my experience. I didn't want anything out of it except to make her aware of what happened. I received an email back from an assistant manager saying they got the email and would bring it to the attention of the manager. I never heard anything back after that. I guess they weren't concerned over losing one person.
