| - I had very high expectation when I walked into this place because of all the pictures and buzz my friends on fb been posting. As I walked in, the place is very clean and neat, you do not feel cramped in there when you dine in which is perfect. Taking an advise from a friend, I called at 11am the same day to reserve some pastries so when I arrive at 4pm, I can still eat some of their signature desserts! (Last time i went at 4pm, there were barely anything left).
I ordered the Raspberry Pistache, Mont Blanc and a Ham & Cheese croissant. I thought the Raspberry Pistache was a bit too sour (the raspberry) and it didn't really match the taste from the Pistachio. The Mont Blanc on the other hand, I thought it was a bit too overrated as all I could taste was chestnut, didn't gave me a wow. The Ham & Cheese croissant was good and my guest and I really enjoyed it!
Coffee wise, my Flat White was decent so I was happy with it. My guest had a tea and she enjoyed it too. I bought a Yuzu cake to go to share with my family, had a bite and I thought the mango filling was too sour also. Sourness is really not my thing. Overall, three stars for Duo! The desserts were so-so, the croissant, coffee and the environment were good. I would personally rather go to Sweet Note though which is a plaza down the road.
PS. They don't sell macaroons anymore! I was hoping I can get my hands on some!
