| - I had purchased tickets to see Piff the Magic Dragon coming up in a few weeks, and shortly thereafter, received a coupon for 4 free tickets to any non-special engagement show. I swooped up the tickets and went to see Quinn Dahle with my fiancé and two friends last night.
To start things off, the host, Tom, was very funny! He definitely set the stage for the show. The second act, Short Bus, was meh-funny, I mostly found the jokes about disabilities (even if his own) to be in poor taste. There's nothing funny about being disabled, physically or mentally. Onto to main act, Mr. Quinn Dahle... funny at times, but his act relied heavily on racial stereotypes. It's 2016. Come on. Racist jokes make you look ignorant, not funny.
The club itself is clean, has a fun vibe, and decent drink selection. Three stars for this and Tom, but minus two stars for the extremely slow service, $7 mic ultras, and lackluster main act.
