rev:text	We've used this clinic for about 3 years with 2 dogs. The overall experience was just ok. The staff seemed nice and we never had any issues with staff at all. Our originally reason of starting to use them was because they were referred by a friend and they took payments. That is not the case anymore. They sold the company to NVA and now they do not do payments unless they are in full. Now onto the reason for the 1 star. We have seen Dr Zin and Dr McNulty with our two dogs. Dr Zin was nice and seemed knowledgable. Dr McNulty was HORRIBLE! She always wants to get in and get out of that room as fast as she can. We had our 13 year old dog there this past Tuesday because of a sore on his side. She came in and said it was hard to tell what it was. She got gauze wet and "cleaned" it up and said it was a tumor (not surprising at 13 for our dog) but was surprising is that she didn't shave the area to get a really good look at it and she didn't offer to do a biopsy; just said it might be cancerous. She left the room and came back with a $1,000 estimate to remove the tumor and said we had a decision to make. Her words were "you need to go home and hash out whether it's worth spending $1,000 on this surgery". I told her I didn't mind spending the money if our dog was healthy. He's a shih tzu so he could live another few years. She then said that if we didn't get the surgery done son that the tumor could grow bigger, cost more, be painful for our little guy and then we'd really have a decision to make. While all of this going on my wife is crying her eyes out because we don't have kids, our dogs are our kids. Dr McNulty never said sorry or tried to comfort us in anyway. The most questions we asked the more annoyed she got. We decided to get a 2nd opinion and went back to the vet we had switched from (only left due to pricing issues). Saw that dr on Thursday. She shaved the hair off and looked it it for a long time. Gave our pup antibiotics, a cream to on it and asked that we come back in a week. She said it was possible that it could be a tumor or it might just be an infection under the skin, but either way it was to small to tell what it is right now, She said if he did have to have surgery it could be done right there, take 40 mins and only cost $250. I don't recommend Brown Rd Animal Clinic to anyone at all. It seems like they care more about money then helping the pets we hold so dear. We could have made a decision to euthanize our dog based on this Dr's poor judgment and her lack of care for our dog and us.
